PENTA TANDEM

Five Layers of OLED Innovation

QD-OLED Penta Tandem is an advanced display architecture that combines QD-OLED technology with a five-layer tandem structure to push OLED performance further. Designed to overcome traditional OLED limitations such as brightness constraints and burn-in concerns, it delivers higher brightness, improved efficiency, and greater durability.

FIVE-LAYER TANDEM OLED: BUILT FOR BRIGHTNESS

FIVE-LAYER TANDEM OLED: BUILT FOR BRIGHTNESS

Penta Tandem uses five stacked OLED layers to distribute the workload across the panel, enabling higher brightness with less stress on each individual layer. This advanced architecture pushes peak brightness up to 1,300 nits, giving HDR highlights greater intensity while preserving the deep blacks and exceptional contrast of OLED.
EXTENDED LIFESPAN

EXTENDED LIFESPAN

The Tandem architecture is also designed with longevity in mind. Because brightness generation is distributed across five layers, the load placed on each individual OLED layer is reduced. This helps reduce OLED degradation and the risk of burn-in, contributing to a longer panel lifespan, with the Penta Tandem architecture designed to achieve double the lifespan, compared to last year’s four-layer QD-OLED The evolution of the emissive material further contributes to longer panel life and improved resistance to burn-in.
HIGHER ENERGY EFFICIENCY

HIGHER ENERGY EFFICIENCY

Producing more brightness does not necessarily mean driving an OLED layer harder. Penta Tandem improves luminous efficiency by around 30% compared with previous four-layer QD-OLED architecture. This means the panel can produce more light at the same power level, or maintain the same brightness using less power, helping increase performance without placing the same additional load on the OLED materials. This combination of higher brightness and greater efficiency allows QD-OLED technology to increase performance while managing the demands placed on the panel.
PURE BLACK CONTRAST

PURE BLACK CONTRAST

Like other OLED technologies, QD-OLED controls light at pixel level. Individual pixels can switch completely off when displaying black, creating true blacks and effectively infinite contrast. Combined with the increased brightness of the Penta Tandem architecture, this gives HDR scenes greater depth and makes bright elements stand out more clearly against dark environments.

QD-OLED, PUSHED FURTHER

QD-OLED

QD-OLED Penta Tandem takes the technology to the next level, combining higher brightness, greater efficiency and improved longevity with the deep blacks and rich colours that define OLED gaming.

BUILT TO HANDLE REFLECTIONS

BUILT TO HANDLE REFLECTIONS

OLED performance is not only about what happens inside the panel. The screen surface also plays an important role in maintaining image quality in different lighting conditions. Our latest QD-OLED monitors use AntiReflection 3.0, an advanced screen treatment designed to reduce reflections while avoiding the hazy appearance often associated with traditional matte coatings. This helps preserve the vivid colours, sharp image quality and strong contrast that define QD-OLED. Whether you prefer W-OLED or QD-OLED, both technologies are designed to deliver a clear and immersive gaming experience across a wide range of lighting conditions.
